BOIL WATER ADVISORY

TO CONSUMERS OF THE TOWN OF THESSALON WATER SYSTEM LOCATED:

ALBERT STREET

EDWARD STREET

DAWSON STREET FROM ALBERT TO WATER STREET

WATER Street from DAWSON to HWY 17

Effective June 1, 2026 the Town of Thessalon, under the authority of the Ontario Clean Water Agency and the guidance of the Algoma Public Health, is advising the above residents that they will be under a Boil Water Advisory. 

The water should not be used for the following purposes without first bringing it to a rapid, rolling boil for at least one full minute:  drinking, making infant formula and juices, cooking, making ice, washing fruit and vegetables and dental care.

The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until work on the system is completed and microbiological samples confirm the safety of the water.  This is a localized problem and only households and businesses in the affected will receive this Notice.
