The Economic Development and Tourism Committee meets on a monthly basis to review, discuss, and develop strategies that promote sustainable economic growth for the town and its community stakeholders. The committee focuses on identifying new opportunities, supporting local businesses, enhancing tourism initiatives, and strengthening partnerships that contribute to long-term prosperity and community vitality.

Thessalon Farmers' Market

We’re excited to launch our first year of the Farmers’ Market and celebrate local food, local businesses, and local community. We can't wait to see this project unfold!

Market Dates

The Market will take place on Thursday afternoons and evenings. Based on results from the vendor interest survey, there was a strong response in favor of holding the market on Thursdays. This schedule helps accommodate vendors who are already committed to markets in neighbouring communities, while also attracting visitors who are arriving for the weekend.

The Market will begin on Thursday, June 25, 2026, and will run through Thursday, October 8, 2026, the Thursday prior to Thanksgiving.

Hours of Operations

June – August: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

September – October: 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
