Canada Post Strike Impact

Due to the ongoing strike of Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Canada Post will not be picking up, processing or delivering any mail. 

Residents, businesses and community groups should use alternative delivery services for any mail being sent to the Town of Thessalon to ensure its delivery. 

Items can be received in-person during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or can be deposited in the after-hours dropbox located at the parking lot corner of the Municipal Office. 

Residents will not be receiving mail from the Town during the strike. Please note, Water and Sewer billing is set to be processed next week and we will advertise when they are available for pick up at the Municipal Office. As per the Water and Sewer Billing By-law, invoices will remain due on December 16, 2024 and if payment has not been received by this date, interest charges will still apply.
