NOTICE TO PASS A BY-LAW (TO STOP UP AND CLOSE UNOPENED ROAD ALLOWANCE)
TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to Section 34 of the Municipal Act. S.O., 2001, c.25, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of the Town of Thessalon proposes to enact a by-law to stop up and close the unopened portion of Frances Street Road allowance, described as follows: Described as Part 1 and 2 on Registered plan 1R-14277 commencing 32.3 metres west of Ontario Street westerly to the Water’s Edge.
The proposed by-law and map identifying the subject lands, shown below, may also be viewed at the Municipality of the Town of Thessalon’s Municipal Office during regular office hours, or on the Municipal Website at www.thessalon.ca.
The proposed by-law will come before Council for consideration at its regular meeting of Council to be held the 15th day of December, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. At that time Council will hear in person, or by his/her counsel, solicitor or agent, any person who claims his/her land will be prejudicially affected and who applies to be heard.
A request to speak before Council and/or any comments or objections must be submitted in writing to the Clerk no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
