Spring Clean Up 2026

The 2026 Spring Clean-Up will allow residents to place large items such as but not limited to, mattresses, couches, chairs, carpets (to be cut to 4-foot-wide rolls), painted/stained wood furniture, etc. along the curbside for pick up. There is no limit on the number of clear garbage bags. Recycling will be picked up on the normal schedule by a separate truck.

• Place items at curbside no sooner than 7:00 p.m. on May 25, 2026
• Pickup will start at 7:00 a.m. on May 26, 2026
• Any goods remaining at curbside after the pickup is complete must be removed by 7:00 p.m. on May 26, 2026

GFL Environmental will be picking up the goods with the a rear-load garbage truck. Their employees will place your items in the truck.

Accepted Items:

• Mattresses
• Couches and chairs
• Carpets (cut in 4 foot wide rolls),
• Painted/stained wood furniture

Unaccepted Items:

• No untreated wood, brush or leaves
• No white goods, e-waste or metal
• No Tires
• No Construction Debris

***Items like untreated wood, brush, white goods, fluorescents and LED lightbulbs and al electronics (computers, T.V.’s, phones, etc.) and goods for the Give-A-Way building must be taken to the transfer site at 499 River St by Thessalon Residents.
